Frequently Asked Questions
-
I offer 50-minute individual therapy sessions virtually for clients located anywhere in California.
-
We start off by scheduling a free 15-minute consultation and will discuss the per session cost at that time.
-
My practice is primarily private pay, allowing me to provide highly personalized care without the limitations imposed by insurance companies. I provide superbills for clients seeking possible out-of-network reimbursement. Clients may also use Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) to help make therapy more affordable. Some clients may be able to access care through employer-sponsored mental health benefits, integrated health plan arrangements, or insurance coverage through select plans available via third-party billing partners. If you have questions about fees or coverage, I am happy to help you explore your options.
-
My practice is best suited for women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, pregnancy loss, and the emotional complexities of motherhood who are looking for compassionate, evidence-based support.
-
My work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based approach that helps people develop skills to navigate difficult thoughts and emotions while building lives aligned with their values.
-
Most clients begin with weekly sessions, though the frequency can be adjusted based on your needs and goals.
-
The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and the challenges you’re navigating. Some clients seek short-term support during a specific transition (during pregnancy or in the fourth trimester, for the first year postpartum), while others engage in longer-term therapy (throughout all the transitions - from pre-conception through parenting).

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate”: explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019.
